How much do you charge?

Pricing depends on a few things - the type of show, the venue size, distance, set-up and finish times, sound technician, etc. This is why we price each unique event separately. Please visit our CONTACT page to request a quote! If you’re working within a specific budget or range, let us know and we’ll do our best to work towards getting you the best deal for your money.
What do you provide as standard equipment?
- For most events we provide 3-4 hours of live music in 3 sets. We will bring professional sound equipment (PA) as well as programmed stage lighting and some for the dance floor. Travel is always included in our quote. We play recorded music that is appropriate to your type of event during the pre-show time and during our two short breaks.
Does The Sweetwater Band require a deposit?
- Yes, we typically charge a $100 deposit to hold a date and time. For repeat clients that we have developed a relationship with we generally waive that deposit. This deposit can be paid by check, Paypal, Venmo, or good old cash!
How much space do you need?
- We’re a 5-piece band (plus sound technician in the house), so the ideal stage size would be at least 16 ft. wide x 12 ft. deep. We’ve squeezed into much smaller spaces though, and we’ll work with you to make it work in the space you have (within reason of course!). Just keep in mind that the drum kit takes at least 6 ft. x 4 ft. of space. We’re happy to do a walk-thru of your venue in advance to make recommendations.
How much time do you need to set-up and tear-down for my event?
- The timing of your event is really up to what works best for your needs. We’re very flexible with our hours to accommodate your needs. We generally plan to be set-up before your guests begin arriving. We arrive at least 2 hours in advance of your start time to make sure we’re out of the way and the stage is all set to go. We typically need about an hour at the end to tear down and load-out our gear.
Do you play recorded music during your breaks?
- We play pre-recorded music that is appropriate to your event during our short breaks. If you have specific songs you’d like played let us know. We can also play your own playlist if you prefer – just provide an MP3 player, phone, iPod, etc.
Can we choose our own playlist?

We’re happy to let you choose your favorite songs or order of songs from our CURRENT SONGLIST! We’d like you event to be as personalized as possible. Most clients trust us to put together a playlist that fits the needs of the event, but we’re very flexible. We have a wide repertoire of tunes to choose from either way!
Do you provide lighting?
- Yes we do! For smaller venues, we use two 4 ParCan T-bars for the stage and dance floor, or for larger venues we add a 24 ft. full-stage truss lighting assembly loaded with LED ParCans and moving lights!
Can my Uncle / Boss / Granny sing with the band?
- Sure, as long as it’s organized ahead of time we have no problem with that! We can provide lyrics on a teleprompter for their use as well. (This generally only applies to private events!)
Can you learn new songs for my event?
- We’re always happy to increase our repertoire of new tunes. Contact us about any special song choices you have, and we’ll make every effort to learn them for you. This applies often to wedding ceremony songs as well as first dances – don’t be afraid to ask! We can also make recommendations for those important songs.
How far will you travel?
- We are happy to travel anywhere to play for you. Transport, accommodation and associated expenses will be considered when pricing your event, where necessary.
Can we use your Microphones for speeches?
- Depending on the time of when your speeches will be, and if we're set up you can definitely use our mics for speeches. We have a Wireless Mic just for that purpose. We can also connect your video equipment into our sound system to give your slide show a great sound!
When and how should we pay the final balance?
- We require final payment on or before the day of the event. We accept Cash, PayPal or Venmo for most clients. Checks are accepted for our repeat clients and commercial customers, and we can also invoice our corporate clients on a net-15 payment basis if arranged in advance.
Can we come and see you live?

Because of the nature of our work, we play a lot of private events. We do often book public festivals and shows, however, and we welcome you to come by and meet the band and have a listen! Check out our UPCOMING SHOWS or FIND US ON FACEBOOK for more information and details!
Do the band have any requirements?
- We aren't too fussy! If available, we always appreciate a room to get ready and warm up before performing. We aren’t heavy drinkers, but if there’s a hosted bar, we ask for drink tickets for our crew. (1 drink per set per performer for a total of 15 drinks). And of course the usual green M&M’s!
